Pricing

Pay for what runs.
Nothing else.

No subscriptions, tiers or minimums. Compute is metered while a warehouse is running, storage is billed at cost, and a paused warehouse costs only what it stores.

Compute

Billed only while a warehouse is running.

Storage

Billed for what you keep, running or paused.

Object storage

Tigris object storage is passed through at cost.

Data transfer

Estimate only, excluding query-result egress. Storage covers a volume sized to your data (10 GB minimum) plus its snapshot in object storage. Usage is metered in five-minute increments.

Warehouse sizes

Every size, every price.

Resize whenever the workload changes. The monthly column assumes a warehouse that never pauses, so treat it as a ceiling.

Billing

How billing works.

01

Metered in five-minute increments

A warehouse that runs for forty minutes is billed for forty minutes, not for the hour and not for the month.

02

Pausing stops the compute meter

Pause from the dashboard or the API. While paused you pay for storage and nothing else.

03

One invoice a month

Usage across all of your warehouses is totalled and charged to your card once a month through Stripe.

04

No plans to outgrow

There are no tiers, seats or feature gates. Every account gets every feature, and every size is a click away.

FAQ

Pricing questions.

Is there a minimum spend or a contract?
No. There is no subscription, no commitment and no minimum. If you delete your warehouses, your bill goes to zero.
What do I pay for while a warehouse is paused?
Storage only: the local volume and whatever is in your object storage bucket. The compute rate is zero until you start the warehouse again.
What is the difference between shared and dedicated CPUs?
Shared sizes burst on CPU cores shared with other machines and cost much less, which suits development and intermittent queries. Dedicated sizes reserve whole cores for consistent performance under sustained load. You can resize between them at any time.
What am I charged for storage?
It depends which engine you choose. A DuckDB warehouse keeps its database on an encrypted local volume at $0.225 per GB-month, sized when you create it, and snapshots it to your own object storage bucket at $0.02 per GB-month. A DuckLake warehouse has no volume at all: its tables are Parquet in object storage at $0.02 per GB-month, so you pay for what you store rather than for a disk you reserved.
Can I store table data straight in object storage?
Yes. Choose the DuckLake engine when you create a warehouse and its tables are Parquet in object storage, with a transactional catalog, time travel and no disk limit. The DuckDB engine keeps its database on a local volume instead, which is faster to query and fixed in size. Pick the engine at creation; it cannot be changed afterwards.
How do you arrive at these prices?
Openly. Compute is what Fly.io charges us plus a flat 50%, which pays for the control plane that provisions, monitors and backs up your warehouses. Tigris object storage is passed through at cost with no markup at all.
